All our paper and forest materials are FSC ( Forest Stewardship Council ) certified, meaning they were not created at the expense of mother nature, animal, or person. FSC certification is considered the “gold standard” due to its immense environmental benefits.

Organic cotton is grown without any toxic chemicals or genetically modified seeds. It has a low impact on the environment. Organic production leaves the soil useful for other crops to supplement farmers’ food and income. It is beneficial for biodiversity. No artificial pesticides or fertilizers mean no energy consumption to produce those substances. Organic cotton is primarily rain-fed, meaning less irrigation and strain on water-scarce areas.

Dyes used for KARLINA’S production are GOTS ( Global Organic Textile Standard ) certified. That means they have been thoroughly tested for harmful chemicals, and this independent certification guarantees that the colours used are safe for you and the environment!

We are proud of our close-knit production here in Europe. Not only do we adhere to the high standards set by the EU, but we also know the people behind each piece. Each KARLINA’S piece is as unique as the person sewing/crafting it. We carefully vet all our manufacturing partners to ensure that every employee is treated according to European Labor Law, which ensures fair hours and wages.

We believe in a plastic-free future. Therefore, we do not use single-use plastic materials in our packaging or shipping.
